Description: Rare 1947 Trifari Philippe Glass Cabochon Rhinestone Snakechain Lariat Necklace Trifari Lariat Necklace designed by Alfred Philippe and patented in 1947 (see a copy of the patent drawing below, Patent 146,584) consists of gold-plated base metal, with silver tone accents/trim, ruby red and moonstone cabochons as well as crystal chaton rhinestones. This beauty is in the Lariat styling consisting of double slinky gold-plated snake chains that cinch together at the front with an embellishment in the design of a flower consisting of moonstone and ruby red glass cabochons. Dangling down from there are two double chain drops attached to articulated sections with more moonstone & ruby red glass cabochons tipped with long slender rhinestone encrusted finial drops.
