The cover has some slight wear, but the book has a tight binding, square and firm, and the interior of the book is near pristine and perfect. FIRST EDITION IDENTIFIERS:This first edition was only printed once by A.C. McClurg & Co, so any books bearing their name on the spine is a first edition. The cover is a red and has black lettering on the cover & spine. The dust jacket and 8 interior illustrations were by J. Allen St. John. There was a total of 12,500 copies.
