The artist's signature is on the bottom. It is that of the great master Tamamatsu. The size of this netsuke is 2" inches long x 1.6" inches high x 1" inch deep (5.0 cm x 4.5 cm x 2.8 cm). It weighs 21.5 grams (0.8 oz). This netsuke is very similar to the one displayed at the Bower Museum of Santa Ana, California.
