Description: Wonderful rare plaster maquette of a native woman, possibly Amazon, stands 12" tall, and has a 2 3/4" diameter at the base. Elegant figure features braided hair, period costume, bare breasts, and a bronze finish over the plaster, with a dark patina. Carved into the front of the base is the word "Dartacena", probably referring to the figure, rather than the artist who created it. In very nice as found condition, there may be a small loss at the tip of the head dress, but no other damages or losses that we could find. While we are unable to identify the piece on the internet, we think that it probably dates to circa 1910, and is not signed. A noble addition to any collection, the figure is offered with out reserve. RETURNS ACCEPTED ONLY IN THE EVENT OF AN ERROR IN LISTING, PLEASE READ LISTINGS CAREFULLY
