The exterior is hand painted with alternating panels, including a cartouche depicting a family enjoying the outdoors near a river, the other having butterflies and flowers framed by purple latticework, apparently unmarked. Approximate dimensions: h. 4.75", sq. 9.75". Acquired at auction from a prominent Southeastern auction house known for fine Asian antiques. As a result, authenticity is guaranteed.
