Description: Rare ANTIQUE MAP 1623 bird's-eye view BRIELLE (Den Briel) by BRAUN & HOGENBERG,,, Offered for auction is this rare and wonderful original 17th century hand-colored copper engraving bird'e-eye view map of Brielle Holland by Braun and Hogenberg. It was printed on laid paper with good paper pattern seen when held to the light. There is verso text in Latin (see photo.) Dimensions of the engraving are 13.75" x 19.2" or 36cm x 49cm. Paper size is 15.75" x 21.75." Condition is very good with no tears or holes, but with normal overall toning from age and a few small stains here and there (see photos.) A nice addition to any wall or collection... Shipping will be via USPS. International buyers are responsible for all customs fees and V.A.T.s.
