For your consideration is a wonderful photograph identified on the bottom of the mount as "Views at Monadnock Mt. House - P.S. & S Batcheller, Proprietors, Fitzwilliam, N.H." This is a great image of a group of people (hikers?) in the distance on the top of the mountain. Looking carefully, I believe a flagpole* can also be discerned. *The last auction photo shows a photo which appears in *Monadnock More Than a Mountain* (p.135) by Craig Brandon... (for reference only ...NOT included in the auction!) The photo measures approximately 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" (including border). The actual image measures 7 3/4" x 4 5/8". The photographer (also identified on the bottom of the mount) was "A. W. Hosmer, Phoyo (sic), Concord, Mass. You will find overall soiling/staining. Please view the enlargeable scans carefully and contact me with any questions. Over the coming months we will be thinning out our collection focused on the mountains of the Northeast.
