RARE ANTIQUE VOLUPTE IMPERIAL 9" PERFUME BOTTLE 22K GOLD PLATE

Description: DeVilbiss 9" Antique 1920's Volupte Perfume Bottle w/ Dauber 22kt Gold Encrusted Purple Gorgeous! This is one of the Imperial Size Bottles that Volupte put out in the 1920's, the tallest and the highest quality.....it is very impressive.Similar to Devilbiss bottles. Very tall and slender....standing 9" .... Base is 2.75" in diameter. Gold metal top with flower design....long glass dauber...fits perfectly...no gold loss Gold metal long artsy stem and a gold weighted foot with a graduating design of rows. Thick layer of 22kt Gold Enamel encrusted Finish....no loss very heavy luxurious coat of gold.... The bottle is encased with purple glass on the inside....shows through with a gold lattice type design over the top on the outside...hand-painted. This bottle has some weight to it ... 11 oz. The foot is made weighted so not to tip over. The bottom is stamped in the metal with the Volupte logo and gold plated; says Guaranteed gold plated. CONDITION: NEAR EXCELLENT....VERY CLEAN...NO CHIPS OR CRACKS... NICE HEAVY GOLD ENCRUSTED FINISH THINGS TO POINT OUT: 1. The top is original and fits perfectly, but the head is a little crooked on one side.You may be able to bend it a little to make it even. It is just on one side and will notshow if you turn the bottle to the other side. 2. There are a few imperfections from manufacturing around the bottom of the foot edge. These are not dings; I don't know if all Volupte pieces are like this. See photos. 3. There is a tiny amount of patina/wear on stem and foot. See Photos.
