Description: This rare antique bottle is a one quart bottle and is embossed "WOODLAWN MILK DEPOT / P.J. WELTZ / 122 S. 19th ST." Interestingly, the owner of this dairy, P.J. Weltz, was listed in the Monthly Bulletin, Vol. 16 of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Foods of being charged in June 1918 with "Selling milk low in fat and solids." I believe the bottle dates to around this time. The bottle was also made by Pittsburgh bottle manufacturer, T.J. and A. Hamilton Co. It is marked as such on the back heel of the bottle along with the number 14. The bottle does have some surface wear, a small nick inside the glass on the lip, a chip on the bottom front of the bottle, and a few small nicks/chips on the base of the bottle. It is good otherwise and also has some great irregularities such as bubbles in the glass. This has all been photographed for you to view. Please review the photos for additional condition information and please ask any questions prior to purchasing.
