Description: This is a rare 1955 -1959 "Kit-assembled" assembled model Circus Cage/Wagon with yellow "baby camel". Cagemeasures approx. 3.25 in. long (tongue adds another in.) and 2 in. wide and makes a great circus display piece. I used this flat car load for years with my American Flyer Circus Train layout. These kits actually worked better for my railroad than original loadsas they allowed me to easily mix and match parts and/or animals. I often customized my flat cars to entertain my kids and now grand kids over the years! I always favored the rare animals that were issued in large quantities by Allied. The camel is from Allied with the Allied base but all other parts come from repo or aftermarket kits. The baby camel was such a rare animal offered by Allied that I wanted to get it back in a cage for my layout once the original cage was damaged. The baby camel is not original to the cage which I customized for my layout (you can too!) so I could get two/three on a flat car. I also customized a "thru the roof mamma camel" for another car which may be listed if not sold at the shop. Other things I observe: Very rare Allied baby camel (R) etched in bottom No cracks or fineal breaks No breaks in cage bars I have adjusted the price to reflect the rarity of the subject animal and my observations.
