Description: An unusual specimen of botryoidal fluorite crystals are seen here from the Erongo mountains of Namibia. The fluorite formed over another mineral as evidenced by the stick-like growths that can be seen in the cores of the fluorite. The crystals have a short stalactite-like appearance and wrap nicely around the matrix. This is quite an oddity for this location, and I haven’t seen any other examples like it.
