Description: Rare c1900 Antique Chinese Carved Wood Owl Wall Display Shelf Bracket 15.5"Tall Measures overall 15.5"tall by 13.5"across with a depth of around 12". Superb highly detailed hand carved Chinese wall bracket. This is a very rare quality work of art done by a master carver. The wall bracket features an owl with stunning details,perched ready for flight. The top of the shelf is carved with foliage giving it a great touch. Most tops are generally plain.And will display very well at eye level as also from higher up. It is a true quality Chinese work of art dating to the late 19th century. This is a great addition to any collection. In very good overall condition.The top,back of the shelf and the owl are all good,Though has some small losses/old repair below the branch perched on and leaf... as shown in photos.All nothing major,but noted and does not detract in any way.Very sturdy,ready to hang. The wood could be mahogany or boxwood not 100% sure.Has original redish lacquer waxed finish.
