Description: WORKING DESCRIPTION:This game is working perfectly. The monitor has a gorgeous picture and is a 19" Electrohome G-07. The game is running on all original hardware and everything is working perfectly - all sound effects, controls, and levels of the game. This is a VERY rare game to find at all, especially working in the original cabinet. I've only seen two of these in my life and I purchased both of them. This one, and another similar one that is going into my next arcade expansion. The game is quite interesting to play. It shares similarities with several other classic games from the era. It starts off similar to Scramble or Super Cobra with a horizontally scrolling SHMUP type phase. It continues with different enemies and even a "boss" at the end, but then similar to games like Gorf or Vanguard, changes to another round with a whole different feel and layout. This continues as it transitions through several different shoot-em-up type games. Overall, very fun with quite a bit of challenge, interesting visuals and sound effects. Quite impressive for the year this game came out. By todays' standards it is primitive, but at the time it must have felt cutting-edge. I know that in the pictures above, the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Watch the video and you will see that the monitor has a great picture. In some ways, this was a popular cabinet among operators. It made a great cabinet for conversions and had a lot of advantages. For example, the monitor can be easily rotated for vertical or horizontal games. The control panel has easy access to top and bottom for wiring up controls. The feel is great as a player, with the monitor mounted right in your face with a nice depth control panel right in front. However, many seasoned amusement operators would admit that there were some things about this cabinet that they did not care for. The coin door / front panel being first and foremost. The locking mechanism kind of stinks and if you don't have it just right, the front door is notorious for just dropping open and smashing against the bottom door, scratching or injuring you if you're nearby. Also, it isn't really the most sturdy cabinet. The bottoms were just a square layout of fiberboard, which if it ever gets wet, starts to degrade and crumble, leaving the game leaning in one direction or another and getting shorter every year. This particular cabinet did have a crumbled bottom and I had to build a new base out of new wood and attach it underneath with new metal foot plates and feet. So underneath, this one is solid and sturdy, but still looks rough around the bottom where you can see the previous degradation. The marquee is basically perfect and lights up with a new light. The monitor bezel is also basically perfect, which is very important as this is a very rare bezel and made of just paper, so it would be near impossible to find a good example if it needed to be replaced. This game did not come with sideart, but the wood grain stickers on the side are in decent shape and the cabinet looks nice all around. The control panel is in remarkably nice condition with an excellent condition overlay. It is cracked along the front edge, as you would expect, but otherwise is near flawless. The controls work well.
