This program premiered in December 1954 with the title Your Favorite Playhouse with all episodes being repeats from other series, but later featured original episodes. Some who appeared on the program included Dennis Morgan, Charles Bronson, Edmond O'Brien, Gene Barry, Phyllis Coates, Frances Rafferty, Macdonald Carey, and Phyllis Thaxter. The program was filmed in Hollywood, with Warren Lewis as producer. Some directing was done by Quinn Martin. When Stage 7 went into syndication, in some parts of the United States sponsors changed the title to indicate their sponsorship. The series originally aired only 25 episodes =============================== THESE ARE THE 22 RARE "STAGE 7" EPISODES IN THIS COLLECTION Episode 1: The Deceiving Eye – January 30, 1955 (*) Episode 3: The Legacy – Feb 13, 1955 Episode 5: Tiger at Noon – Feb 27, 1955 (*)Episode 6: To Kill a Man – March 6, 1955 Episode 7: Greatest Man In World – March 13, 1955 (*) Episode 8: The Press Conference – March 20, 1955 Episode 9: The Long Count – March 27, 1955 (*)Episode 10: Down from the Stars – April 3, 1955 Episode 11: Young Girl in an Apple Tree – April 10, 1955 Episode 12: Emergency – April 17, 1955 (*) Episode 13: The Magic Hat – April 24, 1955 (*) Poor QualityEpisode 14: Armed - May 1, 1955 Episode 15: Billy & The Bride – May 8, 1955 (*)Episode 16: A Note of Fear - May 15, 1955 Episode 17: The Verdict – May 22, 1955 Episode 18: The Time of the Day – May 29, 1955 Episode 19: Yesterday's Pawnshop – June 5, 1955 Episode 20: The Traveling Salesman – June 12, 1955 Episode 21: End Of The Line – June 19, 1955 Episode 23: Where You Loved Me – September 4, 1955Episode 24: The Hayfield – September 18, 1955 (*) Episode 25: Fox Hunt – September 25, 1955(*) This episode has abbreviated Title & Credits=============================This 5 DVD comes in a hardshell plastic case with series description and artworkAll episodes recorded at the 2hrs per disc speed for the best possible qualityAll DVDs have a menu for easy episode access All episodes are in the PUBLIC DOMAIN and were custom recorded to DVD for the best quality. this is not a retail set or a copy of a retail set as NO retail release of these episodes is available.================================PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING:This is NOT a retail set or a copy of a retail set as no retail release exists for these episodes. This is a custom made DVD collection made from episodes acquired in the collector arena. These episodes are rare, extremely hard-to-find and possibly all that still exist. In many cases, these episodes were transferred from a master source many years ago (master source to Beta or VHS to DVD as each media became available). READ MY FEEDBACK - many people have already acquired and have enjoyed these sets for what they are... a piece of TV history not available in stores. If you are unfamiliar with video collecting and do not know what a 'collector set' means... It DOES NOT mean every episode is pristine and without flaws. It DOES NOT mean all episodes are today's TV quality. It DOES NOT mean all episodes will look great on your Samsung 65" 4G Big Screen HDTV.I AM SAYING HERE AND NOW: To a diehard video collector this is a must have, a lost television treasure. To someone who is NOT a video collector OR someone who DOES NOT know the limitations of what is available to collectors OR someone who expects everything to be today's TV quality, this set will disappoint. THE QUALITY OF THIS SET TO A "NON-COLLECTOR" WHO EXPECTS EVERYTHING TO LOOK GREAT ON THEIR 75" SAMSUNG HDTV WOULD BE CONSIDERED "FAIR TO GOOD". To a video collector who knows what is available out there some episodes would be "GOOD TO VERY GOOD" at best. You should not be expecting today's TV quality, store bought DVD quality or better than "GOOD" using the "worse to best" scale of (1) POOR - (2) FAIR - (3) GOOD - (4) VERY GOOD - (5) EXCELLENT - (6) TODAY'S TV QUALITYToo many people believe every episode of every show is available in today's TV quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case and you SHOULD NOT be expecting that. Please DO NOT buy any collector DVD set if you are expecting the same quality as though you are watching TVLand reruns on your Big Screen HDTV. BEWARE OF THOSE WHO CLAIM "NEW" QUALITY ON A COLLECTOR SET.... Ask if it is 'factory new' if you are unsure. If you are not sure what to expect from this set, DO NOT ASSUME! Please email me BEFORE purchasing. I am an honest collector. I have over 40+ years of collecting experience and a collection of over 500,000 video items (I lost count). I know what is available to collectors and what is not. Unlike some, I will not tell you what you want to hear just to make a sale. I am not like that. If you are expecting today's TV quality, I will tell you not to buy any collector DVD set. If you want to watch this set for what it is, "a piece of lost TV history" then by all means do so. I cannot be more honest in my explanation. DO NOT expect better quality than I am stating is being offered.===============================SHIPPINGDue to the ever increasing USPS Shipping charges, to keep it economical this item can be shipped several ways (you choose) but be aware of the ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES (knowing the USPS each can take longer that stated) MEDIA MAIL (4-14 Business Days delivery) FIRST CLASS MAIL (2-7 Business days) PRIORITY MAIL (2-5 Business Days) BE AWARE OF THE DELIVERY TIMES BEFORE PURCHASING - DO NOT EXPECT DELIVERY SOONER THAN THE MAXIMUM DELIVERY TIME OF THE SERVICE YOU SELECTED Also the USPS does not accept request to trace until after 30 days have passed so please do not ask.
