Description: I have had this doll for some time, she is a rarer hairstyle milliner model type doll, and in a larger size. I have a hard time letting go of my early dolls! She measures approx. 15 1/2" tall. Papier-mache shoulder head on leather body with wood lower arms and legs. I love how her black hair goes under and around her ears and the bun at the back of her head. She has painted blue eyes. Her face is a little washed out, but I am not finding any repaint to it. Lovely closed mouth. multi-stroke eyebrows, pink nostril dots, slight wear to the tip of her nose. Her body is in good condition....I can't take her clothing off as it is sewn on and I believe original to her. Her right wood hand has a slight chip to the thumb. Her lower wood legs are great with rust-burgundy painted slipper shoes. I can see her lower body well and it is intact without leaks. Top of body feels firm to the touch. I love her clothing! Wonderful striped ecru and green/blue stripes with an overlay brown patterned bodice jacket. No closures on the jacket and it possibly could have been added later, but is antique. She truly makes her presence known!
