Novelization of the iconic horror classic "Halloween", the 1978 film by Compass International that starred then 19 year old Jamie Lee Curtis in her career groundbreaking role as Laurie. The screenplay was written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill. It introduced one of the most famous horror movie killers, Michael Myers. The movie opens in 1963, when Michael was six years old and murders his little sister, Judith, on Halloween. He is sentenced to 15 years in a psychiatric hospital; he escapes and returns home to Haddonfield, Iowa. Finding out that Laurie (Jamie Lee) is actually a sister who was put up for adoption, he tracks here with the intent of murdering her as well; in the process, he slashes more teenaged girls. The "Halloween" series of films eventually numbered a dozen movies, eleven of which feature Michael Myers. The novelization offered here is very scarce and usually found well worn if found at all.
