The Hennessy Library Tome Red Book from the “Library Collection” is a red cardboard presentation box made to look like two leather bound books titled La Faïencerie and La Comédie and designed to hold a special edition bottle of Hennessy Cognac. Produced in 1994, it was aimed specifically at the Duty Free and Eastern European market. The “Library Collection” held Napoleon quality Hennessy Cognac, and was created to help the cognac connoisseur conceal their highly prized and coveted bottle amidst other books on their library shelves. No need to share it with the in-laws if they don’t know it’s there, right? Hennessy's inspiration behind this exceedingly collectable series was their philosophy that their cognac is as rare as antique books. The box is in good, used condition with some signs of wear as seen in the photos, including a very small tear to the top of “Tome 2”. Please note there is no bottle included with this item – it is the empty storage/display box only, ready to house a vintage bottle of cognac.
