RARE Ives Original Prewar 1 Gauge #3239 Passenger Set!

Description: Wow! Here is a rare set that you do not see very often! This early Ives 1 gauge set includes, 0-4-4-0 #3239 cast iron loco in black with red trim and white lettering, #70 New York and Chicago Mail car, #71 New York and Chicago Baggage car, and #72 Washington Coach, all in brown litho with gray painted roofs. The set is all original with no touchup or repaint ever. This set came out of an old estate in Pennsylvania where it has been for decades. The loco is in gorgeous condition, one of the better ones we have had or seen. It has bright clean paint that displays great with only a couple small nicks, with one paint nick on the roof edge as seen. The lettering is slightly faded on one side, nothing offensive at all. All trim is intact on the loco and the cast iron has no breaks. We have not tested the loco. All 3 cars have gorgeous litho sides, as good as you can possibly find! They are not faded at all and show essentially no scratches and just a couple nicks. The roofs do have substantial paint flake as seen. This is extremely common on these cars, and most of the time when you find these cars, the roofs have been repainted. All trim is intact on the cars. These are an extremely tough set of cars to find! Please examine photos as they are the best description. Fantastic set in great condition, perfect for the serious Ives collector! Do not miss it!
