Description: RARE Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron 28 Cassoulet Dish Pot Cassole Lid Cerise Red You are bidding on a RARE, HARD-TO-FIND Le Creuset Cerise Red Enameled Cast Iron Cassoulet Dish/Pot (it is also called a Cassole) along with the original lid. I read online that it was made for and sold exclusively by WIlliams-Sonoma in the late 2000's for a very short period of time. They are very hard to find anywhere online. The unique conical shape of the pot is what a Cassole Pot looks like. It holds about 4 1/2 quarts and will work on induction, electric, or gas stoves, as well as in an oven. The cassoulet comes with its original lid and has 2 large stamped square handles so you can lift and move it with confidence (pot and lid combined weigh over 11 pounds). There are a few marks on the outside of the lid as well as the bottom of the pot, but they might be from shelf wear because the enameling on the side of the pot as well as inside the lid and pot is in GREAT condition (please see pictures).
