Description: This listing is for an INCREDIBLY RARE 1964 John F. Kennedy first day of issue postal cover inscribed and signed by former Texas Highway Patrol officer and Texas Ranger, Milton T. Wright. Besides signing the cover, Wright has also inscribed his personal information on it. On November 22, 1963 President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald from a sixth floor window of the Texas School Book Depository building on the corner of Elm and Houston Street. Milton Wright was the Texas Highway Patrol officer who drove the mayor's car during the assassination, being a few cars behind JFK's Presidential limousine. The passengers of Wright's car were the mayor of Dallas at the time, Earle Cabell, along with the mayor's wife Elizabeth "Dearie" Cabell and a Texas Representative, Raymond Roberts. Immediately following the shooting Wright followed JFK' s limo as it sped to Parkland Hospital where he helped remove the bodies of President Kennedy and Governor John Connally from the presidential limousine. He then stood guard outside of the ER entrance to keep the crowd in control. I HAVE ATTACHED TO THE LISTING, FOR REFERENCE ONLY, AN IMAGE FROM THE FATEFUL DALLAS MOTORCADE TAKEN ONLY MINUTES PRIOR TO THE ASSASSINATION SHOWING WRIGHT (RED ARROW) BEHIND THE WHEEL OF THE MAYOR'S CAR AS WELL AS 2 IMAGES TAKEN AT PARKLAND HOSPITAL SHOWING WRIGHT (RED ARROWS) STANDING GUARD OUTSIDE OF THE EMERGENCY ENTRANCE BEHIND JFK'S LIMO.
