These points have tiny flecks of Red Hematite at their tips. This crystal has a smaller Companion at its side. Companion crystals are smaller than their main crystal and grow alongside or partly growing in each other. Phantoms show the outline of a crystal when it was younger and smaller. Phantoms are caused when another mineral, in this case one of the oxides of Iron, grows on the outer faces of the younger sized Quartz, but as the Quartz grows bigger it is surrounded eventually being sealed permanently with-in a larger crystal.
