Description: VERY RARE, OOAK, Koestel Wax Angel Ornament Music Box, made in West Germany, 1940s / 50s. This lovely Angel was crafted delicately with wax and designed in gold foil with flowing wavy hair. This angel is holding a candle in each wax hand. The candles over the years have curved over somewhat. The Koestel wax angels are easier to find in ornaments or tree toppers. It is rare to find a revolving music box by Koestel. The bottom of the music box is covered with a soft velvet fabric. I didn't take that off, but that may be where the Koestel Germany Hallmark is? I will just leave it as it is. This definitely shows Koestel incredible handywork!! This Angel is in good antique / vintage condition. One of the wings must have been replaced in the past. I noted the repair in the photos. Please note the photos for more details about the condition. This Angel stands 10 1/2" x 4" Amazing that it has made it this long in good condition and rotates and plays still!!
