Description: I recently purchased a number of leaded and reverse painted lamps that I am going to be listing here with very reasonable buy it nows. I am a picky buyer of these and the ones I have here are in very nice condition. Why buy a damaged or poorly repaired one when you can get a good one for a fair price from a fellow collector of these? Please take a look, ask questions, and let me know if you need any additional pictures. This is a wonderful and really rare Pittsburgh pansy lamp. I have been buying, selling and collecting lamps like this for over 25 years now and can say that this is the first one I have ever come across. It's incredible. The pansy design, for example, is just not seen anywhere on Pittsburgh lamps....but on this one there are two boldly done rows (one on the shade and one on the base). In addition, the fact that it is a top/bottom lit (sometimes called "lighthouse" design) is very unusual. Its painted just beautifully and lights up quite nicely. The shade measures 12 1/2" in diameter and the lamp stands about 18 1/2" tall. I see no chips or cracks in either the base or the shade and the painting is all very nice and crisp with no faded out areas. There are no signatures on the shade, but the base does have the Pittsburgh stamp on all 3 of the shade height adjustor keys. I cannot stress how rare this little lamp is.....you will not find another one out there......and if you are a Pittsburgh collector, or just like pansies, this one is for you! If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. I am a collector of these myself and always try to offer nice examples to other collectors. I am not making a living at this so can afford to offer things up without reserve or list them at very fair prices so that other collectors can appreciate them as much as I do. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this. It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you want a nice quality antique old one at a fair price, you have found the right seller. One last note. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that's fine. But if you are watching hoping I am going to reduce my asking price, that isn't likely to happen as I honestly believe I am asking a very fair price for this. Keep in mind that ebay is one of the only auction venues that does not charge the buyer a premium for purchases like this and if you were to buy this from pretty much any other auction house you could expect to pay a 20-30% buyer's premium on top of this asking price. Still, if you are seriously interested in this lamp and want to discuss this price or some kind of payment plan (which I would gladly accept), please feel free to email me about it and I am sure we can work something out.
