Description: Rare Vintage 1957 Hamilton Electric Pacer 500 Gold Filled Wristwatch Tested - Keeping Time & Running Smooth With Brand New Battery The Hamilton Pacer 500 holds the historic distinction of being the world’s first electric wristwatch. Although the movement is powered by a battery, the operation is largely mechanical, using no transistors or other electronic components. It marks the first step toward the modern battery-powered quartz revolution. It has an asymmetrical shape and yellow 10k gold filled case with white 10k gold filled lugs. It features a grey triangular dial with gold-toned dauphine hands, gold-toned arrow indices and a seconds hand with a red pointer tip. The case, crown, dial & movement are all marked and it even features a personalized engraving on the rear. There is also an updated tan leather strap with matching buckle. It runs great, is keeping time and has a brand new battery. The Hack function works properly and the watch starts right up each time the crown is pushed-in from the setting position to the running position.
