Description: Rare Vintage 1970s Royal Crown Canister Set: “Daisy Daisy” Designed by Pia 2664 This fabulous 4-piece canister set was made by Royal Crown china and features happy white and teal daisies on royal blue backgrounds topped by blue lids with white knobs. You can’t help but smile when you look at these sweet cylindrical 1970s pieces with their varying heights. The largest canister is 10” high with the lid, 6 ½” without the lid, and has a 6 5/8” diameter. The next in line is 8 ½” high with the lid, 5 ½” without the lid, and has a 5 ½” diameter. The next to smallest is 7 ¼” high with the lid, 4 5/8” with no lid, and has a 4 ¾” diameter. The smallest is 6 ½” with its lid, 4 1/8” without the lid, and has a 4 1/8” diameter. Together this set weighs just about 7 pounds. These are in beautiful vintage condition, but there is a very hard-to-see chip on the largest canister, and I’m not sure if the knobs were produced the way they are or were repaired. They are quite sturdy on the lids, which makes me think that’s the way they were. There’s also one minor irregularity in the paint glaze of one daisy on the smallest canister- I added a close-up of that.
