It also has the Veteran's medal depicting a soldier and horse boarding a French box car. 40 men or 8 horses was stenciled on the boxcar as US soldiers headed to the Western Front in France 1918. The society was an off shoot of the American Legion and comprised initially of WW1 Veterans.
