My guess it was a competitor product created to compete with the Fortuna or the Kenner kids projector. The concept is exactly the same. Slides are placed in front of a light and magnification bulb to project images on to the wall or ceiling.This unit is powered by 3 C sized batteries. The label on the side of the projector advertises it as "Around the World Slide Projector" 8 of the slide strips that come with this toy are labeled "Around the World" and are pictures of Australia, England or Greece etc. or show animals from around the world or show different sports around the world and also different types of transportation Another set of 8 slides includes pictures of shapes, colors, animals, occupations, items, a few simple math and the entire alphabet with kid pictures for each.
