Rare Vintage VALOR Manual Swing-Guard Pocket Knife

Description: Here’s a Rate Vintage VALOR Manual Swing-Guard Folding-Blade Pocket Knife, Made in Japan, Circa 1980s. Features a Stainless-Steel Bayonet Blade with Nail Groove & Folding “Swing” type Finger-Guards, and a Handle with Black Acrylic Scales, Stainless Bolsters & Liners, Brass Pins and a sturdy Steel Slipjoint Back-Spring to tension the blade. Measures 8-3/4” overall length. Blade’s tang stamp is faded but still reads “VALOR” over “No. 514” over “JAPAN” on one side and “STAINLESS” over “STEEL” on the opposite side. This knife has been handled/used but remains in VERY-GOOD CONDITION overall. The blade has been sharpened and shows minor grind marks but is still full, snaps open smoothly with zero wobble, and closes into the liners without peaking. The Swing-Guards also open & close with zero wobble. The handle’s Black Acrylic Scales show a few fine surface scratches but are chip & crack-free; the Bolsters are ding & scuff free and the liners are straight with no gaps along the backspring.
