Description: Here is a rare set of 8x30 Zeiss Dienstglas. The optics have been restored. I believe a prism was replaced because the one inside shows a tiny chip on the entry side facing the lens. This chip cannot occur by dropping the binoculars. There is no reticle in the ocular. The binoculars are sharp and clear. According to the book. the white paint in the manufacturer's stamp is not to be trusted, but cannot conclusively be said to be unoriginal either. It will not be hard to remove if you are even more sure of its inauthenticity than that author. Of more pressing significance, the case closure tab has been repaired: unsuccessfully (photo 6 is most illustrative). It is WEAK!! I will be glad to address this concern for a reasonable fee at the discretion of the buyer. In all events, the buyer will be hard pressed to find a better example!!!2 weeks money back no questions.
