Description: If you are tired of reading a lot of disclaimers attached to ebay auctions, you have finally found one where there are none. This is a PAIR (2) of Rebuilt Premium Level World Famous Wolf Enterprises Corvair Carburetors. You get both for the final bid - one bid, two carbs, like in the pictures, not eaches. If you buy two, you will get 4 carbs and have to pay return postage for the extras. These carbs started life as 1968 units. They were Chevrolets offer for the smog requirements for that year. They added an extra air bleed in the throat to limit the amount of adjustment that could be made at idle, so they would be leaner and removed the power enrichment circuit that was added in 1965. It is a simple modification to plug the extra hole. This essentially turns them into the 1964 style carbs. They have the desirable changes made that year such as a base vent and improved venturi cluster design.Your new carbs will flow better than stock, and therefore be more responsive to tuning and engine demand. They won't necessarily get better gas mileage, but you should be satisfied with improved drivability. They include the best gaskets and parts available and set up and adjusted to eliminate most, if not all, synchronization procedures. Unlike others you can purchase, everything on these will be matched and correct for your engine, including idle emulsion and vent tubes, all air bleeds, and of course, venturi clusters. The throttle shafts are replaced with new ones and bushings added if necessary I am the only rebuilder providing NEW bright plated US-made accelerator pumps. Others you get will be from China and not ethanol-proof. The carbs will have the correct .086" fuel inlet seats with Viton tipped inlet needles. Many other suppliers and re-builders seem to be using a generic .101" fuel inlet seat (originally for a Rochester 2BBL and some 4BBL carbs) which will result in a rich setting at idle (air pollution and waste of gas and hard to sync) regardless of your adjustments and affect the bowl fuel level. The choke shaft cams, which are usually loose, have been re-secured with SS screws and lock washers on NEW choke shafts for an accurate choke setting. There are also several proprietary improvements you will appreciate. I install new Lifetime SS Fuel Filter Screens in place of the antique sintered bronze cylinders. The carbs are recolored in OEM tones like the photo (yes, they really did look like this from the factory). All rubber and gasket parts are Ethanol Proof. I include instructions and tips for an easy installation. I can sometimes ship these within 2-3 days after payment is received. The longer lead time listed is to manage order volume. If you want to send some rebuildable cores from 1962 or newer after receiving your new carbs, they are worth $40 each ($80 for a pair) off the price. (You can use the same box to return your old ones, and I will send the rebate to your payment method in ebay. It usually only takes a day to get it).We have rebuilt over 12,000 Corvair carburetors over the past 22 years, so you can be confident in your purchase. I will take extra carbs in trade to reduce your cost even further. If you order elsewhere, you could get something "off the shelf" that might work. I know, because I am sometimes asked rework other sellers' carbs for unsuspecting buyers who were unable to get a good idle or refund. (You might be shocked to learn that some others reuse the old fasteners, paint the old shafts, don't remove throttle or choke plates when cleaning, and use incorrect parts from just about any year; so ask good questions where ever you decide to buy). Some big store suppliers offer generic carbs that have been modified to "work" on any year, but when doing so block or seal passages and circuits that are unique to specific years, essentially turning them all into 1963 units. A "remanufactured" sticker is a "buyer beware" sticker. If you buy some carbs that still have the stock shafts (about 50 years old, remember), you can bet they ARE going to have an air leak. FWIW, there are over 100,000 different parts combinations for these because of all the changes GM allowed, so be sure that your rebuilder is an expert on the differences. These are fully guaranteed to work. If you are not happy for any reason, just send them back for a full refund. (Carbs fit engine sizes 95 and 110 HP). Some common search mistakes are: carburator, rodchester, 1BBL, and spider). These will not work on the Spyder 150 and 180 HP Corsa engines, but I have that carb, which is a Carter YH, for sale in another auction. I do not post or share questions and answers on eBay for your privacy, so don't be afraid to ask. Four base gaskets as well as the vacuum plug are included in the auction. The plastic choke vacuum pull offs and base spacers ARE NOT included, but I can supply them in a separate auction if you need them. Their postage will be refunded if purchased or shipped with the carburetors. View more great items
