Description: Recycle Bookstore was founded in 1967 by Pat and Joan Hayes. It has been consistently voted best used bookstore by Metro readers. It stocks over 100,000 quality titles and carries popular titles as well as academic subjects. It has strong sections in science fiction, mystery, literature, art, children's, history, science, gardening and spirituality. In 1998, Eric and Cynthia Johnson bought the store, and in 2004, they opened a second location in Campbell. Ender and Emma are the iconic San Jose store cats. They both live in the store full-time. They were adopted at the same time and are around 12 years old. Sometimes it takes some searching, but they can always be found in their favorite cozy spots. Max, the Campbell store cat, is around nine years old. Following in a long line of Campbell cat favorites, customers often marvel at his custom-built catio at the front of the store. When he's not lounging, Max is dutiful in making sure everyone is following store rules. This vintage bookmark measures 7 by 2 inches.
