Description: The Victorinox Sportsman is the Swiss Army Knife most often found in my pocket. It is similar to the Spartan but slightly smaller and lighter. I’ve had mine for at least ten years, but the knife offered here is an A with the red matte handles. It’s a nice one, as you can see in the pictures above. The Sportsman is a medium sized (3.25 in./84 mm) two layer knife. It contains a large knife blade, bottle opener with large screwdriver, can opener with small screwdriver, nail file with cleaner, corkscrew, awl, toothpick, tweezers, and key ring. I am primarily a collector, but searching for new and unusual models often brings me duplicates and perfectly useful knives that I cannot keep. I share these on eBay. I classify knives by condition according to the scale below. Grading Scale: A+ new in box, with paperwork. Box may be worn, but the knife has never been carried, sharpened, or used. Collector or museum quality. A new or like new, but no box or paperwork. Collector or museum quality. B+ Excellent condition, no obvious wear, clean, tight, complete. Good for a collector, but probably not a museum. B Excellent condition with some wear on the scales (handles). Clean, tight, complete, but the Swiss cross may be barely visible. A great carrier but not pretty enough for a collector’s display. B- Some wear but still an excellent carrier. Clean, tight, complete. C+ A good carrier. Clean and complete with excellent utility value. C A good used pocketknife but nothing more. Everything is there and it all works, but if you dropped it in the creek you might not jump in to retrieve it. D Sold as is. Might be useful for parts or dissection. F You’ll never see this because they end up in my trash can. If you are not happy with your purchase when you get it, send it back. I’ll refund your purchase price.
