Description: Buchanansl's Carex is and an evergreen perennial hardy to 0f. It's native to New Zealand and seems to perform best with a little afternoon shade in the southern US. Red Rooster has a redish beige coppery color all year. It's drought tolerate once established but ideally seems to like plenty of moisture with good drainage and although it's a carex doesn't like to stay wet all the time. It's very adaptable and easy to grow and isn't fussy but also isn't a bully in the garden. Red Rooster Carex provides a whispy look and blends well with other plants.
