Description: Offering a vintage and fully restored 1940's Shure 55C "Fatboy" Dynamic Microphone. It's an all-time favorite classic, but the ole gal needed a facelift. So we thoroughly cleaned, then applied new Hammertone Grey enamel to the exterior, and installed new interior screen cloth. Note the matching restored Shure desk stand, making this a gorgeous pairing! And because the mic no longer produced a signal, we installed a new high fidelity, lo-z dynamic capsule, and she now sounds better than ever! (Check out a voice sample on the listing video.) There are a few very subtle divots in the top casing...see photos, but over she's still very presentable, especially face on. The pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly and the stand threads are good.
