Description: Beautifully restored timber framers mallet. 15 1/4" in overall length. Striking head is 3 3/4" square. Head measures 4 3/4" long. Mallet head is an extremely hard wood (rock maple?) and the handle is ash. Refinished with several coats of Satin MinWax varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax for a soft luster. Small sliver off end of handle and minor checking on head. Weight of mallet is about 2 lbs. Will make a great gift for your favorite tool collector. Very Fast Handling!
