Description: Beautiful Antique Hanging Light Excellent restored condition! Freshly rewired and ready for a new life with you. The glass is marked "Jefferson". They were in business from the year 1900 to the early 1930's - an amazing original! The porcelain sockets have been cleaned, tested and rewired and are working well. The moonstone-type glass shade has lovely ribbing, lights up well and has no chips, cracks or stains. The fixture has a bronze finish with some copper and brass showing through on the edges - it is all non-magnetic, so it is solid brass and/or copper. No cracks or gouges - just a tiny ding on the edge of the shade frame & a couple on the ceiling canopy (see closeups - not noticeable). Use two standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Light bulbs & ceiling mount screws not included. This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #21). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings.
