It has updated wiring, the brass has been polished & lacquered, new porcelain sockets installed and working great. Eye-catching ornate pierced brass filigree center detail piece and gorgeous swirl leaf & acorn details on the arms. The antique glass shades have no chips or cracks and look amazing when lit. Just some tiny, normal flea bites around the bottom edges where the glass was originally cut - not noticed when in use (see closeup for example). **If you prefer a different style of antique glass shade, send us a message with your preference type and we can check our stock of antique and reproduction glass shades that we keep aside for lighting restorations.** The brass is gorgeous with no cracks or gouges - just a few small marks here and there and some areas of the brass are darker than others - not noticeable (see closeups). This was a hand-produced piece, so the brass arms are not all exactly the same height and curvature, but the difference is negligible. The photos show the chandelier from a few angles to give you an idea of the slight differences. :) Use 6 standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts, or use LED bulbs for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24).
