Description: Beautifully restored and repurposed solid poplar document/card storage box. Dimensions are 9 5/8" long x 8 3/4" wide x 6 3/4" tall. Inside measures 8 1/8" wide x 8 5/8" deep x 5 1/2" tall. The box is constructed of 5/16" thick poplar and uses finger joints for strength. Original broken hardware was replaced with period appropriate ones. Hinges hold at 90º. Box was restored with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. No cracks, scratches or splits in the wood. Fully lined on the inside with dark green felt. Red felt and rubber feet added to the bottom to protect your furniture and improve handling.
