Description: This is the 5 inch version of the most popular vise ever sold . Made for Sears by the Columbian vise company in the mid 60s vise were made in USA and are quality vises nothing like you would find today. This vise was totally restored by me. Really restored not painted over .Totally dissembled all paint removed all nicks cuts on jaw towers sanded out absolutely no filler used. All exposed metal polished. Handles straight Jaws excellent main screw nut perfect.Vise works perfectly. I used etching primer and then 3 coats of Metallic Green Silver highlights 15 long 8 in high and the jaws are 5 in wide weights 40lbs. Buy with confidence I have restored Over 850 vises. You can not buy a vise made like this at this price point. Sadly there simply not made anymore. This is not a show vise or a museum display. This is perfect working vise that looks good.
