Review Copy 1st printing Academic Murder by Dorsey Fiske! Author’s First Book!!

Description: Here is beautiful review copy first printing of Dorsey Fiske’s first novel and the first set in the fictional Sheepshank College of Cambridge University. This is Academic Murder and is a first edition first printing and comes with the publisher’s review letter as shown in the last photo. I had never heard of Fiske when I stumbled upon a copy of her second Sheepshanks novel ( which I also have listed ) and selected it on the basis of the cover artwork and the summary on the front flap. After that I just had to find this her first novel. Combine the historical halls of Cambridge University with an odd professor Fenchurch with literary history and you have the world of Dorsey Fiske’s first two titles. This copy is excellent. The binding is square, tight, and the text is immaculate throughout. The red cloth boards are spotless as is the cloth spine. The gold gilt lettering is pristine in condition as shown. The top spine end has “bumping” but the bottom end is great. All four corners are in excellent condition. A previous book seller’s penciled notations are on the front free endpaper but very small indeed. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price present on the front flap. This jacket has little to no wear whatsoever but for a small stain in the lower left corner of the rear panel. Otherwise I would have listed this as “like new” in condition. Combine the two Fiske titles that I have listed and you won’t be sorry.
