Description: High-quality RFID Armstrong Lock product. The lock body is Metal and is RFID and comes with 3 credit card sized key cards(1 management key and 2 user keys). The unit operates on 3 AAA batteries. Easy to install. Instructions and screws are included.Keep your valuables safe and accessible! This lock uses an external sensor, and you can select the cable length that you need so that you can have the sensor in a different spot other than the lock. They sensor is where you need to scan to operate the lock. You must use the sensor on this lock. The sensor can be viewed on the outside of your door. The sensor can also be hidden behind the wood to keep it all invisible, but the sensing distance is max 1/2". You need to have it read thru less than 1/2" thick wood. The sensor also has a 2.5mm port on it that you can plug in an external power supply to give the lock power. When the batteries die, the lock will stay locked. You must either change out the batteries when you hear the low voltage alarm (before the batteries die) or plug in an external power supply in order to open the lock when the batteries are dead.
