Description: Risk is the PC adaptation of the classic strategy board game of conflict and world conquest. Up to eight players play on a map, taking turns to move and countermaneuver troops toward world domination. Risk II introduced new modes including a single-player tournament and a brand new gameplay style where turns are taken simultaneously by all players. Strategic Command: European Theater is a turn based strategy game set in World War II. Playing as either Allied or Axis factions, play through 6 major campaigns from 1939 till 1947 and control the world by the time the war ends. In Axis & Allies, take control of one of five world powers at the start of 1942. As the Allies (US, UK, and USSR) or the Axis (Germany and Japan), use your industry and advanced technology to achieve world domination, capture enemy capitals, or reach absolute economic power. This turn-based strategy wargame is closely based on the Axis & Allies board game. Diplomacy, based on the strategy board game of the same name, is set in Europe during the years leading up to and into World War I. Play with 2-7 players, each representing the armed forces of a major European power. Diplomacy is set apart from most wargames by its negotiation phases and emphasis on strategy; although turn-based, there are no random effects or aspects of chance. Included is five (5) PC CDs: Risk: The Game of Global Domination (PC CD, 1996), Risk II (PC, 2000), Axis & Allies (PC CD, 1998), Strategic Command: European Theater (PC CD, 2002), and Diplomacy: The Game of International Intrigue (PC CD, 2005).
