Description: The story. Recently on an all back road trip from Wichita to Eureka Springs I stumbled upon a lost oasis in the form of an unmarked pickers dream. Something you could almost miss at an intersection with nothing else around. So I wander in noticing no one seemed to be around an immediately got lost in the goods. I look up and notice a far back doorway into another room and am drawn to it. Just inside there is a rack with about six items of clothing on it. One of the two beauties was this suit. As I tried to shrink myself into either of them I knew that was not going to happen so thought of several musician friends and them wearing one or both in Nashville. So I bought them. As I found someone to help me out the lady asked me if I wanted the story. I said I was about to ask. She says they belonged to a famous man who among other things once wrote songs for and with Buddy Holly. I ask, can you name a couple of the songs and she says "Rave On" and "Oh Boy" and ever so humbly adds, I am his daughter. The suit itself is somewhere between late '60s and early 70's. Excellent condition. Lasso being a classic. A suit which sings - get me on stage! Three pieces, killer buttons and vest. Pants have the ever so slight boot cut leg. Only a little room to let out on the waist and a couple inches extra in the hem. Shoulders likely size 40. The western piping front and back of jacket as well as around the waist of the pants was clearly made by an old pro at the time. Quite likely the suit was probably custom made for Sonny. You could wear it or put this on a wall behind glass. I will be listing one more item of Sonny's. Please examine all photographs as they are an important part of item description.
