Description: Large Rookwood standard glaze vase, 13" tall. Well executed slip decoration of yellow wild roses, artist signed Albert Valentien. Shape 216, dated 1885. NOTE although the entire vase has been oversprayed, the only sign of restoration is the lack of crazing to the 2" dark brown section above the base, presumably to a chip(s) (photo 7). It is a very good restoration. NOTE a tiny nick to the base edge (photo 8). Guaranteed no other restorations. Winning bidder pays for shipping, insurance, and delivery signature.
