It is brand new, however, I did try it on the horse I purchased it for. Please note, this halter is horse sized (full horse, standard size halter), but it was a bit snug on my horse's face, and she does not have a big head. That said, I do think it will stretch out a bit pretty quick, but that's not why I'm selling this halter. There's nothing wrong with it, I just ended up not liking the color on the horse I bought it for. I took the tag off, but I still have it. This is a Rugged Ride brand rope halter from Chick's Discount Saddlery. The halter is a bright scarlet red, not maroon or burgundy. The rope halter itself is not super soft, but it is on the softer side. It's not very stiff, and there are no nose knots. Made in India. This item comes from a smoke-free home.
