Description: Rosenthal Hand Painted Neoclassical Lady & Birds Pink & Gold Pierced Plate Nice antique German pierced porcelain plate in the Lion D'or shape. Decorated with a hand painted Neoclassical lady in a pink dress with a branch with several small brown birds. Painted over a blue, white and pink background. Has gold highlights to the relief molded and to the edge. Marked on the reverse with a green crown above RC Lion D'or Bavaria. This mark was used by Rosethal between 1891 and 1906. Also signed on the reverse I.K.M. in gold gilding. Has some wear to the gilding and a large chip to the front edge. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. KV
