I believe this piece has never been used. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Excellent condition. Gold handle has some patina. Approximately 6-1/2" tall (8-1/2" with handle) x 4-1/2" wide x 4" deep. The tea pot can hold up to 45 oz. of liquids. TIMO SARPANEVA WAS BORN IN 1926 IN HELSINKI, FINLAND, AND DIED IN 2006. HE STUDIED ART AND GRAPHIC DESIGN AT THE FORMER INSTITUTE FOR INDUSTRIAL ARTS IN HELSINKI. HIS ORGANIC, OBJECT-LIKE CREATIONS WERE THE OBJECT OF INTERNATIONAL ACCLAIM AS FAR BACK AS THE 1950S.
