Can illustrate how old this particular knife MODEL is . . . it was the first knife I ever carried, Third Grade, 1954, in a Pearl Handle Case . . . I still have it . . . laid back. I considered it then, and still do, a two-blade Pen Knife. Where does the "Serpentine" in the name come from today? Pray tell, what is "Serpentine" about a square bolstered pen knife? Yeah I see that slight curve, but tell me when you last saw a snake with that LITTLE curve? :-) Brand new from old stock, thus "Rider" instead of "Ryder", & has the round badge rather than the newer, bigger "+" shaped shield. Grooved nickel bolsters. Never used, never sharpened, never carried. Match strike pulls. Original box included.
