Description: Harvey's Lake PennsylvaniaThe Oneonta HotelReal Photo Postcard RPPC posted circa 1905 This is a vintage real photo postcard of the Oneonta Hotel at Harvey's Lake in north east Pennsylvania (nepa).The Oneonta hotel was built in 1898 and was considered one of the finest hotels in the area. It's most famous guest was Theodore Roosevelt who stayed here in 1912. The card shows the hotel and the boat house and landing out front with two lake steamers at dock, one with a huge American flag at the stern of the ship. Unfortunately the hotel burned to the ground on February 1919. The postcard was published by W.J. Harris of Pittston Pennsylvania. It is in very good, posted condition.
