Sonny had macular degeneration and needed progressively more magnification in order to read his collection of John Masters books and other historical novels as well as his daily Newsday. He was ambivalent about the newspaper, as being able to read it meant he had to read about how bad his beloved New York Jets were doing—but he persevered nevertheless.His original unit broke and we bought two replacement units for him, but our timing wasn't good as he died soon after the new units arrived. This auction is for one of those replacement units. This auction is for a new unit (top box in the first picture). It turns on, as you can see from the third photo, the protective plastic is still on the screen under the bubble wrap, and it comes with all the necessary accessories including a power adapter, micro-USB cable for file transfer, HDMI cable for HDTV connection, microfiber lens cloth, documentation, and carrying case.I'll be auctioning the other unit as well, along with the accessories from the unit that broke.
